Biography

Prof. Wang is chairman of Department of Pathology of Tongji Medical College, and director of the Institute of Pathology of Tongji Hospital as well. He commenced medical studies at Hubei Medical College in Xian’ning in 1982 and graduated in 1987. Then he commenced postgraduate training in Pathology at Department of Pathology of Tongji Medical University, and got his PhD degree in 1996. He further got the research training in Kamamoto University, Hong Kong University and University of Western Ontario respectively from 1998 to 2004. Then he came back and joined the Tongji Medical College of HUST, working as head of Department of Pathology. He is also in charge of the Institute of Pathology of Tongji Hospital. In addition to clinical and teaching duties, he has commenced research concerning cardiac repair post myocardial infarction and molecular pathology of cancer.
