Clinical Focus:

Research Focus/Interests: My research focuses on the pathological mechanisms underlying mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. We use a combination of genetic, viral, electrophysiology, molecular biology and in vivo imaging (in free-moving animals) techniques to study these questions in mice.

Biography

Dr. He received his Bachelor’s degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2012 and doctoral degree in 2018. His graduate study and postdoctoral training, in the laboratory of Dr. Jian-Guo Chen, was focused on the pathological mechanisms of depression and drug addiction. He combined physiological, electrophysiology, and behavioral approaches to study the pathological mechanisms of depression and anxiety. He joined the Department of Pharmacology, School of Basic Medicine, Tongji Medica College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2021, where he continued to study the therapeutic target of depression and comorbidity.
