Biography

Prof. Duan is a general surgical pathologist with subspecialty interest in breast pathology, bone and soft tissue pathology and cancer molecular pathology. After completing her medical study and training in Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Ph.D. study at Cologne University, Germany (2001-2005), Dr. Duan becomes faculty member of Tongji Medical College. She is currently the Vice Director of Department of Pathology at the Tongji Medical College, HUST.
Dr. Duan’s research interests focus on two areas: 1) cardiovascular pathology and cardiac regeneration and repair; 2) cancer molecular pathology. Above research work was supported by Natural Science Foundation of China (NO.31271040, NO.30400153), Scientific Research Foundation for Returned Scholars, Ministry of Education of China and Wuhan Youth Science and technology plan (200750731266).
